Non-Standardized Signs:

Come in a wide variety of designs and shapes. Often located in rural areas and rarely leased by national advertisers. Many non-standardized signs are on-premise or directional signs.

| Conforming Signs: |

Signs that are legally erected in accordance with the federal, state, and local laws in effect at the time of their construction

Non-Conforming Signs:
|

Signs that are illegally erected. Also includes signs which were conforming when originally constructed, but are now considered non-conforming due to changes in federal, state, or local laws. In this case, the sign may still be considered legal if grandfathered.

On-Premise Signs & Displays
|
|
Signs that are not part of the standardized industry. The space on these signs is typically not for rent. These signs often carry the message of the business or service that owns it and on whose property it is located.
